Biomedical Variation Team 

The department was the first of its kind to be established in Jordan in 1998, and has been providing hospitals, healthcare centers , universities and research instates in Jordan and around the word with highly qualified biomedical engineers that are capable in the fields of biomedical instrumentation, sensors, biomedical materials, diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, medical signals and image processing, biomechanics, BioMEMS, and rehabilitation engineering.

The department has sought to continuously grow and advance which is evident by its up to date curriculum  and its modern laboratories​. As evidence of the department's strive for excellence the B.Sc program in Biomedical Engineering (BME) has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC)of ABET​​, Inc  and was the first program to be granted such accreditation outside the United States.
